Merlin XIII , Pure Raza Espanola (PRE) Gelding

ABOUT MERLIN...
Merlin XIII (Mighty Mouse) is a Pure Raza Espanola gelding (imported originally from Spain). He is dapple-grey, standing 15.2 hh. He has a generous nature, boundless energy and is a great delight to his owner, Lori Day. In the brief time Lori has owned him she has blossomed as a dressage rider (coming originally from the Hunter ranks) and continues her dressage education today through 3rd level.

Lee (Amando's owner) had a great deal to do with Lori becoming interested in the Andalusian and Lori is just as delighted with the breed and with her horse today as when they made their first trip to Spain on their horse search.

In 2007 (Merlin's first - ever - show year), he competed in just 5 shows (9 classes). He finished the season with USDF having qualified for Region III Championships at Second Level and being ranked nationally 191 of 301 horses at Second Level with a 62.326% median score.

Merlin also placed 2nd (Reserve) at Second Level for the USDF All Breed Awards - Open Division of the Foundation for the Pure Spanish Horse (PRE).
